Pono Collective’s Mission to Grow Local Talent
Savor Brands is proud to share Pono Collective’s Our Mission video. This Hawai‘i based nonprofit helps today’s learners become tomorrow’s leaders through real world learning that connects education, agriculture, and local industry. With a special focus on Hawai‘i specialty crops like coffee and cacao, Pono Collective gets students out of the classroom and into the places where these products are grown, processed, and served.
Aloha. Pono Collective is a Hawai‘i based nonprofit that empowers students through hands on programs and workshops. Their approach links education, agriculture, and industry to build skills and spark careers. Students explore coffee and cacao across the entire value chain. They visit farms, sensory labs, processing facilities, roasteries, and cafes across the islands. These experiences show how high quality Hawai‘i grown products reach our homes, shops, and restaurants.
Learners meet experts in the field and learn through doing. Thought leadership sessions and career pathway spotlights help students see where their interests can lead. The goal is simple. Engage students today so they can become the growers, chefs, scientists, storytellers, and entrepreneurs our communities will need tomorrow.
