The space is bright, spacious, and set up for relaxing or getting some work done. Think modern, inviting, and just the right amount of cozy. Bluebeard is already well-known in Tacoma for their balanced medium roast coffees, and this location carries the same high-quality flavor that fans love.What We Tried and Loved
We went for the house-roasted Ethiopian pour-over. The flavor was smooth, with a citrus-forward profile. It tasted fruity, exactly what you'd expect from tasting notes like candylime, ginger, and wild strawberry. There’s also a wide selection of pour-overs from places like:- Latin America

- Lattes
- Teas
- Iced drinks (like their popular La Pistola, a spicy Mexican mocha)
Don’t Skip the Pastries
Alongside the drinks, Bluebeard serves up a solid variety of pastries. We tried the orange cinnamon morning bun and lemon curd bun were both warm, flaky, sweet, and citrusy with a crisp finish. Perfect pairing with any drink.Take Home the Flavor
Before heading out, we each grabbed a bag of their fresh-roasted coffee. A cool bonus: You can return your used Bluebeard coffee bag to their R+R box at the new café to help upcycle packaging. Small action, big impact. Want a quieter spot? Their original café on 6th Avenue is still open and offers a more tucked-away atmosphere. It’s ideal if you’re looking for a more laid-back hangout or need a spot to focus.
